InterNACHI Pro Inspector Convention 2023 - Day 1!

InterNACHI's Pro Inspectors Convention in New Jersey includes 3 days!

For many months, I've been looking forward to making the trek to Atlantic City, NJ for InterNACHI's (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors Pro Inspector's Convention!  This is the world's top gathering of professional home inspectors - and is packed full of education, seminars, a tradeshow floor full of the industry's top vendors (equipment, services, softwares, and groups), and networking opportunities.  

Day 1 featured an 8+ hour certification class on Sewer Scoping - a service that will soon be offered by 218 Inspect!

The sewer scoping class was instructed by industry legend James Krumm, whom has deep roots in the St. Croix Valley - where I grew up!

When working with my clients or agents recommending me as a resource, I carefully listen to & value feedback.  Once common piece of feedback I get is that there is a lack of inspectors offering Radon Testing and Sewer Scoping in the local areas market.  It can be a hassle to arrange for several inspections that many clients want (home inspection, radon test, sewer scope, etc, etc) during the already hectic time of purchasing a home.  Therefore I've been working for the past year to get multiple top certifications, particularly for Radon Testing & Sewer Scoping and will begin offering them in the coming months - along with my current menu of inspection services!

Yesterday, at the InterNACHI Pro Inspector Convention, I spent nearly 9 hours with a small group of top Home Inspectors from around the globe in a Sewer Scope Certification Class taught by industry legend James Krumm.  This was a fantastic hands on class and I can't wait to bring this expertise back to Duluth to further serve my wonderful clients!  Incidentally, I was delighted to learn that James was originally from the St. Croix Valley (where I grew up), before moving to Colorado about 40 years ago!

Sewer scoping is a process that provides the client info on the condition of a home's sewer line that connects the home to the city sewer line (or septic system) - this is great info to have, as sewer line repair / replacement often costs tens of thousands of dollars to repair.  Considering that most sewer lines in the Duluth area are ~100 year old clay tile pipes, everyone should know the condition of their sewer line!

The tradeshow floor is packed with equipment manufactures, technology solutions, educational providers, and inspector organizations!

The tradeshow floor at the InterNACHI Pro Inspector Conference is packed full of great vendors ranging from amazing new technology solutions to insurance companies, from testing laboratories to marketing companies.  In short, it's the ultimate place to mingle and share ideas & best practices with the top Home Inspectors in the world!  I look forward to bringing this expertise, new technology, and amazing service to my clients in the Duluth region!
